This petrified wood plate is rich in texture, with gnarled tactile trunk-like elements contrasting with a completely smooth and stone-like interior to the plate. Petrified wood is best described as ‘wood turned into stone’ as a result of petrification, a type of fossilisation, when wood buried underground is starved of oxygen. Please note: Due to the natural and handcrafted nature of this item, there will be small variations in the appearance, shape and size of each unique piece. Not suitable for the microwave or dishwasher. To clean, wipe over with a damp, warm cloth.
