We offer a nationwide delivery service which is calculated according to product weight and size during the check-out process.  We also ship internationally and will quote on request. Unless alternative arrangements have been made and depending on the size of the order, for floors & walls, deliveries will generally be palletised and undertaken using a 17.5 ton lorry, which is a similar size to a dustbin lorry. Pallets will then be lowered to the ground using a tail lift and pallet truck. The pallet will then be left at the nearest convenient location at the discretion of the driver, which may be the kerbside. For further information on our delivery service and charges please see our Delivery Information.

A good installation is the foundation of a good floor. If a wood floor is installed correctly – and then maintained in the correct way – it will last for many years. It is essential to correctly prepare your substrate first. The subfloor should be level, free from cracks or movement, dry and clean. Any damp issues should be rectified before installation. Complete all other building works before fitting your new flooring, to avoid it getting damaged. Your timber should be kept in a dry, protected place and be allowed to acclimatise to the room temperature/environment for at least three days before installation. The Relative Humidity – often known as ‘RH’ – of the room should be between 45-65%; ideally 55%. An expansion gap of approx. 15mm should be left around the perimeter of the room, to accommodate any expansion, including under door frames, central heating pipes and connection with tiles. If you are installing your wood floor over an underfloor heating system, always follow the instructions provided by the heating supplier. If you need any further information about the installation process please read our detailed Installation Guide, Engineered Oak or speak with our expert team at Indigenous, who are on hand to help you.

Engineered oak is a durable, easy-to-care for floor but it is important to remember it is a natural product. To keep dust free, hoover or sweep on a regular basis.  Ensure your hoover is in good condition and will not scratch the floor.  Wipe up spills as soon as they happen or as soon as possible with a clean, dry or damp cloth.  Water that is allowed to sit on the surface will cause the oak to swell and then shrink when it dries. For ongoing care, we recommend using Ciranova products, such as their Flooring Soap for oiled finishes and Hard Floor Fresh for lacquered finishes. Always choose pH-neutral cleaners suitable for engineered oak flooring.
