Onyx is a natural semi-precious gemstone formed over millions of years, as layers of silica – a mineral found in sand and quartz – slowly build up inside tiny cavities in cooling lava, creating its distinctive banded appearance.
Natural Onyx stone comes in different colour variations. Our design is handmade from a blend of honey, cream and rich brown tones which form flowing stripes. The pattern is most visible on the basin’s polished interior, which has an almost translucent appearance. The outside of the basin, left unfinished, is rugged and fossil-like, creating a stunning contrast.
