The Classic Collection: Grounded Luxury

Reflecting the growing trend for warm, natural surfaces, Indigenous’ new Classic Collection includes ten fine wood floors, crafted from sustainable European Oak. The designs benefit from an environmentally-friendly engineered construction – which creates a robust, stable surface – and a tactile finish which complements the timber’s rustic grain

Each of the Classic Collection floors has a warm, earthy tone, creating a comforting and grounding look that suits all decors.   Norfolk, the collection’s lightest floor, is a gentle honey shade, followed by Dorset which has a classic biscuit tone.  Rutland has a deeper, warmer tone, whilst Moray combines warm brown colouring with paler grey hues, with a nod to Scandi-style.  The three deepest toned floors – Cotswold, Sussex and Kent – move through warmer caramel shades, to rich, dark espresso.  Devon, Flint and Meath complete the range, bringing grey/brown tones to the collection.

Various brushing techniques are used to enhance the wood’s rustic grain and to create a vintage look.  The collection also features four different surface finishes: natural oiled, hard wax oil, reactive stain plus hard wax oil and matt lacquered.  Below the surface, the floor’s feature a modern multi-layered construction – with a sustainable eucalyptus and poplar core and a 4mm oak wear layer – making them ideal for installation with underfloor heating.  The individual planks each measure 220 x 2200 x 15mm and have a traditional tongue and groove joint.
